The project aims to identify potential aqua entrepreneurs in selected districts of Assam. Field staff, along with local support, will conduct visits and awareness campaigns. Youth interested in entrepreneurship will undergo training, and established entrepreneurs will receive further education. Boot camps and exposure visits will provide platforms for idea development and learning from experienced counterparts. Investors will evaluate promising ideas, and proposals will be linked to government schemes and funding sources.

• Aqua Entrepreneur is the first such type of concept in aquaculture sector in India.
• Aqua Entrepreneur concept implemented first by Kalong-Kapili in the country.
• Total 350 AE are on the verge of formation.
• Very recently, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Govt. of Nagaland showed keen interest to adopt this AE model with the help of Kalong-Kapili.
• The natural water resources will be utilized properly for livelihood generation through this programme. Expected to create gainful employment opportunities.
