    🌿🌱 Farmers Field Day Programme Successfully Completed! 🌱🌿

    Kalong-Kapili is delighted to share that the Farmers Field Day Programme under the JIVA Project was successfully conducted on 30–31 March 2026 at TRIBE Project, Borbeel, Nagaon, Assam, with the active participation of 40 farmers 🌾👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

    The programme was supported by NABARD, Regional Office Assam and technical assistance was provided by WASSAN and RYSS.

    🌳 Key Activities Conducted:

    🌿 Demonstration of fodder plantation on common land

    🌿 Field visit to observe EFRP engagement under the JIVA Project

    🌿 Field visit to pig breeding unit and pigsty 🐖

    🌿 Focused Group Discussion (FGD) to understand project impact

    🌿 Interactive session with Shri Rajendra Perna, DDM, NABARD, Nagaon

    🌿 Distribution of 100-litre drums for preparation of Jeevamrit & other bio-inputs 🌾

    🌿 Distribution of vegetable seeds & demonstration of nutrition garden (Surya Mandal) 🥕🥬

    🌿 Distribution of livestock medicines under vaccination programme 💉🐄

    🌲🌼 The programme fostered hands-on learning, encouraged natural farming practices based on agroecology, and strengthened farmers’ engagement under the JIVA Project.

    Congratulations to Mrs. Mallika Mudoi and Mrs. Swapna Marak on being awarded on International Women's Day 2026 for their outstanding contributions to rural livelihoods by NABARD, Assam, Regional Office, Guwahati, Assam.

    🎉 3 Days Residential Training on Business Development for Farmers Successfully Concluded! 🌱🐟🐄

    We are happy to share the successful completion of the 3 Days Residential Training Programme on Business Development for Farmers under the JIVA Project supported by NABARD, Regional Office, Assam held at the Aqua Tech Park of Kalong-Kapili from 26th to 28th February 2026.

    Over these three days, farmers actively participated in interactive, hands-on, and experiential learning sessions focused on building sustainable rural enterprises. The programme included:
    ✅ Developing businesses linked to the local circular economy
    ✅ Group presentations by farmers on their desired business plans
    ✅ Technical sessions on livestock and fisheries-based enterprises
    ✅ Awareness on credit linkages and financial access
    ✅ Team-building and strenghthening exercises for group bonding and collaboration

    We were inspired by the enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork shown by the participating farmers.

    We convey our sincere thanks to the resource persons from WASSAN Team, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and NABARD for their valuable inputs and engaging sessions, which made the training truly impactful.

    Our heartfelt thanks also go to all partner institutions and participants for making this programme meaningful and successful.
