Community Resource Persons (CRPs)
SAFAL project appoints 288 Community Resource Persons (CRPs) to support fish farmers. Each FPO and cluster will have assigned CRPs for regular assistance. They address farmers issues and monitor training effectiveness. 56 experienced CRPs from Kalong-Kapili are part of the team. In Phase-II, 70 new CRPs will be trained, and existing CRPs will receive refresher sessions. They will also train cluster farmers.

- CRP is the first such type of concept in aquaculture sector in India.
- CRP concept implemented first by Kalong-Kapili in the country.
- Now with the support from Kalong-Kapili Govt. of Bihar and Govt. of Odisha has also implemented CRP model.
- Total 320 CRP formed in Assam, 50 in Odisha and 30 in Bihar as on 30 September, 2023.
- Very recently, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Govt. of Nagaland also expressed the desire to adopt this CRP model with the help of Kalong-Kapili.
- CRPs are mobilizing grassroots masses towards fish farming and natural resource management. Achieved targeted goal through CRPs.
