Kalong Kapili hosted an inspiring “3-Day Residential Training Program on Sustainable Aquaculture” at the serene Aquaculture Field School (AFS) in Bagibari, Kamrup(M). Our mission was clear: to share the knowledge on sustainable aquaculture with people from all corners of our nation.
A group of twelve dedicated participants hailing from Tuli town, Mokokchung, Nagaland, joined us from October 12th to 14th, 2023. The participants who are the grassroots fish farmers received thorough and detailed knowledge on sustainable aquaculture, covering pre-stocking, on-stocking and post-stocking practices. Through hands-on training and practical sessions along with theory classes it was ensured that they grasped these concepts with clarity.
The participants radiated enthusiasm and pledged to apply their newfound knowledge in their Nagaland farms. Their satisfaction speaks volumes about the program’s success. Notably,
the Director of Community Educational Centre Society (CECS), Subonenba Longkumer and the Program Officer CECS, Toshi Aier, graced the sessions with their presence and was delighted by the participants’ performances.
The program concluded with a validictory program, during which the Director of Kalong Kapili, Jyotish Talukdar, presented certificates and traditional gamusas to the participants symbolizing honor and recognizing their achievement.
The program was conducted by Shri Anurag Bhuyan and Miss Anindita Pachani as a resource person.
Kalong Kapili is proud to be a beacon of guidance for those aspiring to master the art of sustainable aquaculture.
